Handball players of KAI-Zilant club (Kazan) lost the riposte match of the Challenge Cup with the Macedonian Pelister - 25:27 and left further matches. The end of the play the guest side played in three against the complete opponent's squad, says SE-Internet correspondent Alexander MEDVEDEV. |
Losing throughout the match, the Kazan team managed to take lead 7 minutes before the end - 22:20. Then something incomprehensible happened: when the Macedonians managed to make a draw, there were only three Kazan players left. Fans even jumped out to the pitch and tried to provoke the players, grabbing their sports shirts. It was near to a brawl but the Kazan coaches succeeded in restraining their players. |
At the results of the 2 matches Pelister entered next stage of the Challenge Cup with the advantage of only 1 ball. And KAI-Zilant, the debutant in the European tournaments, received invaluable experience of international plays. |
