Two Ukrainian chess players - Vassily Ivanchuk and Ruslan Ponomarev - entered finals of FIDE world championship currently held in Moscow. Ivanchik unexpectedly defeated now ex-champion Wishvanathan Anand (India) in the fourth game, and Ruslan Ponomarev has maintained his previous advantage in the game against Peter Svidler (Russia). |
